Instructions for searching the Western Maine Cultural Alliance Database:

    1. When searching, you must specify either a type, or a location, or a category, or an availability code, or enter a keyword, to have results returned. However, please remember that the more specific your request, the fewer listingsyou will draw. Choosing 'group', 'SAD 17' and 'dance' will narrow your request to just those dance groups located in SAD 17.
    If you wish to peruse all of the dance groups in our database, do not specify any data other than 'dance' in the category popup menu.

    2. Requests can be contradictory and, in this case, will not yield listings. For example, if you choose 'group' and 'heritage business', no results will be returned because heritage businesses are listed only under 'business' and never as a 'group'.

   3. Similarly, if you search for a business located in SAD 72 after specifying SAD 44 as a locaton, you will not find the listing you seek.

   4. After you have found the listings you requested, you may obtain additional data by clicking the
'More Information' link.
