The Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG), in partnership with the Western Maine Cultural Alliance (WMCA) and the Southern Maine Regional Planning Commission (SMRPC), prepared a successful application to the Maine Department of Transportation for scenic byway designation for Route 113. Route 113 from Standish to Gilead includes 7 Maine towns, 2 New Hampshire towns and 2 districts of the Forest Service.
